Vac-Jet Sewer Cleaning & Heavy Solids Removal

Remtech’s Vac-Jet sewer cleaning system combines high-pressure sewer jetting with vacuum truck extraction to remove heavy solids and sediments from sewer pipelines.Dense materials such as sand deposits, oil-contaminated sediments, grease sludge, and industrial wastewater solids are broken up by jetting equipment and immediately removed using high-capacity vacuum trucks.

RAILROAD YARD SEWER INSPECTION & PIPELINE REPAIR CASE HISTORY (SEE PHOTO ABOVE)

A leaking fuel pipeline at a large intermodal railroad yard with 22 rail lines was located using ground penetrating radar and conductive sewer tracing technology. Remtech performed sewer camera inspections and pipeline isolation using 30-inch inflatable pipe plugs to isolate sections of storm sewer infrastructure to locate the fuel line and stormsewer cross connection. The damaged pipeline was located more than 15 feet below grade, requiring excavation and installation of isolation valves. More than one million gallons of contaminated water were controlled and recovered using Remtech’s vacuum truck and sewer jetting equipment. The pipeline was repaired, pressure tested, and inspected using X-ray weld verification, and groundwater remediation systems using total fluids extraction were installed to recover residual diesel contamination.
