REMTECH LEADERSHIP AND MISSION
Remtech Engineers principals have over 90 years of experience in the environmental contracting services, emergency spill response, environmental remediation, industrial services, and waste-to-energy projects. Our principals have completed over 10,000 projects since 1975 with an excellent safety record. Remtech is certified member of ISNetworld Ravs Plus and Avetta safety programs with "A" ratings.
Remtech project management and leadership is by Board Certified Environmental Engineers (by the American Academy of Environmental Engineers and Scientists), Certified Hazardous Materials Managers, and Certified Safety Professionals. This ensures peer-reviewed proven cost-effective, and state-of-the-art solutions to complex environmental problems. Remtech's unique approach to hazardous materials spills and environmental remediations with qualified individuals facilitates forensic investigations that documents root cause(s) that provides evidence to recover damages from responsible parties. In addition, Remtech crisis management approach "returns out of control" events to manageable projects that minimizes production down time and saves money.
Remtech was founded by Mark D. Ryckman in 1988. Mr. Ryckman possesses a B.S. in Civil Engineering and M.S. in Environmental Systems Engineering from Clemson University and a B.A. in Mathematics from DePauw University. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in seven (7) states and a Board Certified Environmental Engineer in Water & Wastewater (WW) and Hazardous Waste Management and Site Remediation (HW) conferred by the American Academy of Environmental Engineers and Scientists. Mr. Ryckman has served as principal engineer on over 10,000 site remediations and multi-disciplinary environmental projects since 1975. He's listed in Who's Who in Environmental Engineering and Science & Marquis Who's Who in America 2024-2025. Ryckman also invented HC-2000 (a bioremediation accelerator) that has been successfully used on over 400 soil, groundwater, railroad ballast, power substation, and leaking underground storage tank environmental remediations with solvent and petroleum hydrocarbon contamination since 1999.
He served as Executive Vice President (for 11 years) for D. W. Ryckman & Associates/REACT with his father Dr. D. W. Ryckman (MIT graduate). Dr. "Rick" Ryckman founded one of the first Graduate Environmental Engineering programs in the United States at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri known as ENVIRSAN and an environmental consulting firm RETA (Ryckman,Edgerly, Tomlinson & Associates). The Ryckman Lecture series is currently sponsored by the St. Louis Washington University School of Energy, Environmental & Chemical Engineering.
Larry K. Seabolt, Jr., has served as Senior Engineer with Remtech for 34 years and has managed over 6,000 multi-media environmental response and remediation projects. He posses and engineering degree from Southern Tech in Civil & Environmental Engineering, is a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager, and is The Cobb County Resource Counsel Chairman (LEPC). Other accomplishments include: ITS Qualified Operator (Integrated Transmission System) for Power Substations Damage Assessments & Switching, Certified Safety Trainer for Norfolk Southern and CSX Railroads, Hazwoper, and chaired the Operations Committee of the GA DOT TIME (Traffic Incident Management Enhancement).
He has prepared environmental compliance programs for multiple industries, conducted occupational industrial sampling, prepared environmental Phase I, II, and II ASTM audits, asbestos assessments and remediations, installation of waste and petroleum tanks farms, construction of fall protection systems for tanker loading operations, remediation of contaminated cell tower sites in several states, and completed numerous comprehensive energy, noise, water/wastewater, air pollution, solid waste, and environmental safety and health assessment and remediation projects, completed multiple combustible dust cleanups at aerospace and manufacturing facilities, and supervises and operates Hi-rail vacuum trucks at intermodal rail yard projects.
