Remtech Engineers principals have over 53 years of experience in the environmental services, waste-to-energy projects, environmental response, remediation and the industrial services market. Our principals have completed over 8,000 projects since 1975 with an excellent safety record. Remtech is certified member of ISNetworld and BROWZ safety programs.
Our multi-disciplinary team of environmental professionals ensures that the appropriate technical approach and resources are applied to solutions that will withstand the test of time and changing regulations. Remtech's environmental systems approach to response, remediation, and industrial services reduces; the layering of firms, liabilities, completion time, and project costs. Our extensive experience allows us to select “smart” cost-effective and sustainable solutions that work.
Remtech is run by Board Certified Environmental Engineers (by the American Academy of Environmental Engineers and Scientists) and Certified Hazardous Materials Managers. This ensures peer-reviewed qualifications, experience, proven cost-effective, and state-of-the-art solutions to complex environmental problems.
Remtech was founded by Mark D. Ryckman in 1988. Mr. Ryckman possesses a B.S. in Civil Engineering and M.S. in Environmental Systems Engineering from Clemson University and a B.A. in Mathematics from DePauw University. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in seven (7) states and a Board Certified Environmental Engineer in Water & Wastewater (WW) and Hazardous Waste Management and Site Remediation (HW) (only 7 others in the United States possess dual certifications in HW and WW) conferred by the American Academy of Environmental Engineers and Scientists. Mr. Ryckman has served as principal engineer on over 8,000 site remediations and multi-disciplinary environmental projects since 1975. He's listed in Who's Who in Environmental Engineering and Science. Ryckman also invented HC-2000 (a bioremediation accelerator) that has been successfully used on over 400 soil, groundwater, railroad ballast, power substation, and leaking underground storage tank environmental remediations with solvent and petroleum hydrocarbon contamination since 1999.
He served as Executive Vice President (for 11 years) for D. W. Ryckman & Associates/REACT with his father Dr. D. W. Ryckman (MIT graduate). Dr. "Rick" Ryckman founded one of the first Graduate Environmental Engineering programs in the United States at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri known as ENVIRSAN and an environmental consulting firm RETA (Ryckman, Edgerley, Tomlinson & Associates). The Ryckman Lecture series is currently sponsored by the St. Louis Washington University School of Energy, Environmental & Chemical Engineering.
Larry K. Seabolt, Jr., has served as Vice President of Remtech for over 26 years and possesses an engineering degree from Southern Tech in Civil & Environmental Engineering. He is a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager, and has chaired the Operations Committee of the GA DOT TIME (Traffic Incident Management Enhancement) and Cobb County Resource Council (LEPC). Mr. Seabolt has served as project principal on over 3,000 multi-media environmental projects and is a ITS Qualified Operator (Integrated Transmission System) for Power Substations Damage Assessments & Switching, Certified Safety Trainer for Norfolk Southern and CSX Railroads, Hazwoper, and numerous OSHA, EPA, DOT, Safety, and Hazardous Material Training Courses.
