Remtech Engineers was contracted to conduct an investigation to determine
the source of tars and waste oils leaching into a municipal sanitary sewer
system.
Remtech inspected over 1 mile of sanitary and storm sewers using sewer cleaning and television inspection techniques. After identifying the source of the problem, a workable solution was developed.
Remtech's design involved separating process waste flows (oils and diesel fuel) from stormwater flow, rehabilitation of process sewers and manholes, and rehabilitation of the existing wastewater treatment system. Remtech prepared engineering plans, specifications, bid documents, and assisted the client with contractor selection. Remtech also provided construction management services.
